Phone & Email Support
Once we decide that we are a good match, I will make myself totally available to answer all questions and concerns preferring text and email up until the later part of the pregnancy. I will be open to all phone calls during the last 5 weeks of labor and up until our final post-partum visit.
2 Prenatal Visits
Both prenatal visits will be used to discuss developing a birth plan, visualization exercises, practicing breathing exercises and developing strategies for coping with labor pains. We will also discuss how we will handle any natural birth rights that you would like to enforce.
As your birth doula, I will provide continuous emotional, physical, and mental support for you throughout the labor. I offer energetic inspiration and motivation as well as physical methods of dealing with labor pains.
Baby’s first feeding Support
If necessary, I give pointers and tips on the first breast feeding of the baby.

As a Doula, I Do Not:
Perform any clinical tasks
Clinical task such as blood pressure, fetal heart checks, vaginal exams, etc. are not part of the duties of a doula.
Make decisions for you
I will help you make educated decisions by providing resources to help guide you in deciding what is best for you, your partner and the baby. I will also remind you of the birth plan. I cannot make any decisions for you. I can only provide information.
Speak to the staff on your behalf
I can only speak with you directly and advise you and your partner. You and your partner must speak to the staff and make final decisions for yourself.
Project any of my own beliefs onto your experience
It is important that as a birth doula I remain open minded to what you foresee in your birth experience.
